Twas the night before Christmas
I went out to the mall
There was hugging and kissing
“Hey give me a call”
People were smiling and laughing
Each one was polite
No drivers were honking
It was different this night
One guy waved me on
Then I waved on two
Acting patient and pleasant
isn’t so hard to do
I hope after Christmas
we act the same way
The world would get better
for more than one day
OK, let’s make this a science experiment. Let’s all act the same as we do on Dec.24 all year long to see if it does indeed change the world.
Somebody tried to teach us to do just that a long time ago. Did we listen?
