I questioned if I should post this picture or not. I do not want to offend readers who stand by animal rights, but on the other hand I want to show readers that I am just a regular guy.
Well, what does this have to do with the book? The only reason I can find to support showing my spring harvest, is this is the only way I know to prove I have the woodsman skills needed to carry my characters in a believable fashion. The events in the beginning thrust them into a dire world with little to be found for food or shelter. Knowledge of wildlife and survival skills keeps them among the living.
Those same skills will insure we will have turkey for Thanksgiving…if we don’t eat it sooner.
