One of my reviews said I shouldn’t quit my day job. I will be the first to agree with him. No first time author should expect to become an overnight success. Fame in the literary world is achieved only by stamina. One book: cool. Two books: Humm? Three books…Who is this writer again?
I am still in the awe of doing it once, but as I watch sales reports, and promotion stats, I realize this is going to be a full time part of the indie author thing. What I am talking about is the promotion and actual selling of this work. Writing it was one thing, selling it is another.
If you aren’t prepared to sell it, don’t expect it to flourish, but if it does…good for you.
